How our baby's growing:
Our baby girl is now considered "full term," even though my due date is August 18th still. If I go into labor now, her lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb.
Our baby weighs about 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel. Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if our baby's hair isn't the same color as ours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.
Can't wait to see what our little angel will look like and how much (or little) hair she does have! I'm still getting a bunch of inconsistent contractions...just waiting for them to become regular to put me into labor! Greg and I have both caught some kind of bug over the weekend with sore throats & stuffy noses...probably from Levi coughing on us all weekend long & wiping his super runny nose on us. Hopefully it will pass soon, 'cause it has made it even harder to sleep and function during the day feeling extra groggy on top of being super pregnant. ugh! Not to mention I want to kiss all over my new daughter when she arrives and don't want to pass it on to her!
Well, pray for contractions so we can meet this new little angel soon!!
