30 weeks

This picture was actually taken towards the end of my 29 week.... at this point I feel like a couple days can make quite the difference in the size and feel of my belly! ;-)  Little girl has been making it quite difficult to get a good night sleep anymore. Between my hips and back aching constantly, getting up to pee multiple times a night, and trying to roll over with this bump...oh and Greg's sound sleep snoring... it sure is a challenge to get motivated to go to work in the morning after my not so solid 4-5 hours of sleep. Little girl is also quite the kicker! She loves to move and move and move! Which of course is a great sign of healthiness. Can't complain about that at all. Plus, it's pretty cool to feel, until I get a foot to the bladder. ;-)

Our baby girl's approximately 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in my uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face.
