26 weeks

How our baby girl is growing:

The network of nerves in our baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. She may now be able to hear both my voice and Greg's as we chat with each other. She's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of her lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when she's born and takes that first gulp of air. And she's continuing to put on baby fat. She now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches from head to heel.

I missed week 25... again, oops! I was so distracted by Levi turning 2 yrs old, that week just flew by! So here we are in week 26 and my bones and muscles are definitely telling me that my baby girl is growing well. It's getting much harder by the week to chase after and play with Levi... and sleep. Rolling over in bed is a chore in itself!  But, it's very awesome to see Levi always want to hug and kiss his baby sister in Momma's belly. I just love how in tune he is with my growing bump.
